I am Jessica Lopez. I was born and raised in Florida, but for the past year and a half was living in the Metro-Detroit area of Michigan. The suburbs were nice for the time-being, but I never had the desire to stay. As a child, I always dabbled, so the visual arts are probably a more recent passion for me than for others. I was always a painter and drew a little here and there. My work consisted mainly of figurative pieces and still lives. Parsons was a bit of an impulsive choice, I simply went with my gut, and I could not be more pleased with the decision. This past month spent in the city, I have had many realizations. Every day has held a wealth of valuable experiences. Though school and work more or less dominate my life, I have found time to foster my love of singing, write poetry, and continue my personal artwork. I can not believe that I have only been here for a month and a couple of weeks, and I can not wait to see what a the coming months will bring. I hope this suffices... I am not really one for writing Bios.
